Attention Assistant Instructors - we're hiring!
Bray Sailing Club is now inviting applications for Assistant Instructor positions for our 2026 Junior Training programme.Applications are invited from Irish Sailing qualified Dinghy Instructors and Advanced Instructors who are either qualified or expect to be qualified before the summer of 2026.
Anyone interested in applying to be an assistant instructor this season should fill out the application form here before midnight on Friday 27th March.
Please note the following:
To be eligible to apply, applicants should meet the following criteria:
- 15 years or older
- Improving Skills certificate
If you are 16 or older you will need the following:
- A Safeguarding 1 Cert (scroll through the courses here to find Safeguarding 1)
- Irish Sailing Garda Vetting (forms and instructions are available here)
- Note: When you have filled out the vetting forms, contact training@braysailingclub.ie to arrange for Ann-Marie or Caitriona to sign them for you.
- Irish Sailing National Powerboat Certificate (Level 2) (contact training@braysailingclub.ie)
We also recommend the following:
- VHF License
- Valid First Aid Certificate
We will facilitate a certified Assistant Instructor Training Course, which is an Irish Sailing pre-requisite for Assistant Instructors and teaches the skills necessary to be an Assistant Instructor. The training course takes place over a full day at the club and is run by our SI Anna and some of the instructor team.
