Instructor Pre-Entry

The club fevas are being made available for use for training for the pre-entry alongside scheduled dinghy racing. These are currently only being made available for those who are hoping to do their pre-entry assessment in early 2022.

The following conditions will apply:-

A Club Boat Agreement Form has to be signed and returned to (available to download below)

A general overview of usage is also available to download below and should also be read and adhered to.

A refundable deposit must be paid by everyone using the club boats(both nominated helm & crew of the day). Payment can be made at, just remember to login first.

Permission has then to be received from the Club Training Group before making use of them

The boats will be available to book from 18:00 on each Wednesday evening for the following Sunday.

Everyone who is sailing on a boat will be responsible for them being returned in a usable condition

If anyone is booked onto a boat, who hasn't paid a deposit, the booking will be cancelled and they will not be given permission to sail

Each person on the boat should get equal time at helming and crewing, no one person should monopolise use of the boat. If anyone is seen to be getting a disproportionate amount of time helming, we may have to step in and restrict their boat access, this is to ensure fairness to all.

For those who are looking for a pre-entry assessment at another club.

We are keeping an eye out for any scheduled Pre-Entry Assessments in other Dublin and Wicklow clubs and will let you know of any that may come up

You may also monitor these yourselves at

Currently the most suitable one is scheduled for 5th March 2022 in Malahide, contact details are on the Irish Sailing website at the link above

In addition we would like to prioritise use of the club boats for Group B from the end of November onwards.

Any questions about any of this should be asked on the Pre-Entry WhatsApp Group or sent to
