Ever wondered why nearly 100 Swans are daily sniffing around your boats in the harbour?
- Where have they come from?
- Where do they go?
- And what on earth are they doing here?
Well, by popular demand BSC is hosting a "(Swan) Rules" evening in the club on Friday August 9th at 19:30
We've invited Pearse Stokes from Kildare Wildlife Rescue (KWR) to come and give us a talk about all things Swans, other wildlife in the harbour and beyond, and the wonderful work KWR do in rescuing and rehabbing injured wildlife, including our local swans.
Pearse is highly skilled rescuer who's posted several of his adventures on YouTube-check him out-so it promises to be a lively and informative evening.
The bar will be open. There's no cover charge but donations to KWR will be most welcome.
So put the date in your diaries and come on down.
And hopefully when you're next out sailing you'll be scanning the water for all the wonderful wildlife around you in between throwing a tack or looking for the next gust, of course!
