October Series gets off to a Flying Start

Well the October Series got off to a super start. What glorious weather! We had blue skies, sunshine, flat seas and Force 4 winds. We had 11 boats on the water a Hansa, a 420, a couple of Flying Fifteens and a half dozen Lasers. There were three good races, with close competition between the leading boats

The possibility of a fourth race was discussed but most of the sailors had had enough after three vigorous races. So it was decided to wrap it up after three and the sailors returned to the harbour exhausted but happy with their day out. We expect that all who didn't crash out on the couch for the afternoon will have been in for a good sleep on Sunday night .

We look forward to another outing next week. Who knows the weather could be just as good as this week and October could turn out to be the Summer we didn't have.
