It All Looks Just a Breeze for Breezer!

It was an idyllic balmy Summer's night. The only concern among the sailors was that the breeze might not hold. The race management team made the inspired decision to change the course to keep it closer to the shore with three laps giving us the greatest chance to benefit from the sea-breeze with the option to shorten if needed. Well indeed the sea breeze held up and together with a flat sea it made for idyllic sailing conditions and all boats completed the course in good time.
Faoilean was first over the start line and sailed a good race for its entirety, successfully hoisting and flying her spinnaker on the short downwind leg, earning a 3rd place.
Saluja kept up its consistent fast pace and was again first over the finish line finishing 2nd on handicap.
Breezer lived up to her name and was the star of the evening, taking full advantage of the steady breeze, flying her spinnaker on each lap, achieving great speed all while looking effortless. She was second across the finish line and was a very clear winner with more than a minute to spare!
The clever choice of evening course meant that the last boat finished in just 1hr and 7mins and all sailors were swiftly ferried ashore to further enjoy those balmy Caribbean conditions on the balcony!
