SkillBuild Winter Race Training

The SkillBuild Winter Training will be done as part of the Dinghy Winter Series

There will be six racing dates (possibly seven): Two in November (9th and 23rd), two in Feb, and two in March.

There will typically be three races each day so a maximum of 18 races if nothing is blown out!

The SkillBuild race training will be in Bahias.

There will be one Instructor and three trainees in each Bahia.

The Bahias will race in each race. The helm will rotate and weather permitting, each trainee will get to helm for one race each day....and for races in which the trainee is not helming, they are crewing in a competitive race while getting instruction/ guidance/mentoring from the Instructor on board. This will give good exposure to and instruction in dinghy racing.

It is to be expected that some dates will be blown out.

If less than four days succeed in going ahead, we will give a credit of €18 for each day below four that doesn't go ahead. We can apply this credit to a training course or membership in 2025.

This is an opportunity for participants to significantly up their skills and confidence.
