Chinese Demo & Tasting

To everyone who wasn't at our Chinese Cooking Demo & Tasting last night, you missed a fantastic night.
Shu (and friend) amazed us all with their cooking skills.
We feasted on Shu's Ribs (her personal speciality), a couple of prawn dishes and various types of sushi.
Among other things, we learnt how to carmelise ribs properly, make her spicy breadcrumbed prawns, crispy fried garlic and were let into the secret of how/where Birds custard should really be used.
Any expectations we had before the evening were exceeded and we can't thank Shu and friend enough for privoviding that experience for us.
In addition, there was a lovely Friday evening buzz in the bar both before and after the tasting and the appearance of a few of the Windjammers afterwards made for a lovely round up of the evening.
