In early 1999 we completed a major review of the constitution and its amendment history, and approved a consolidated version at a general meeting in May 1999.

Annual General Meeting, December 1999
The following amended motion was passed at the 1999 Annual General Meeting
That rule 2.1b be amended to read:
Family members who shall pay an inclusive subscription which will include husband, wife and qualifying children all of whom shall be entitled to use the facilities of the Club. Only the husband and wife, however, shall be entitled to vote. The term 'Qualifying Children' shall mean:
- Children whose maximum age shall be nineteen on the 1st January, or
- Children in full time education.
Licensing revision, September 2000
New liquor licensing laws led to changes in section 7 of the constitution. The honorary secretary, Bob Aherne, made the necessary changes as permitted by clause 7.8.

Annual General Meeting, December 2000
The meeting accepted several proposals affecting the membership terms and fees.

Paragraph 2.11 of the constitution reads "The Club shall not exceed in number at any time 300 members.". Delete the whole paragraph.

In section 2.1 of the constitution, change paragraph (d)
from: "Young ordinary members, whose maximum age shall be twenty-one and minimum age twenty on 1st January each year and who are entitled to vote."
to: "Young ordinary members whose maximum age shall be twenty-one and minimum age twenty on 1st January or who are in full-time education, who are entitled to vote."

An entry fee will apply to all membership classes except clubhouse, overseas and temporary. A member changing from an excluded class to an included class will become liable to an entry fee.

The entry fee shall be £100

The clubhouse associate membership fee shall be £40. The clubhouse associate levy rate shall be £20.

Annual General Meeting, December 2001
Membership fees and levy rates were expressed in Irish Pounds, and needed to be converted to euro. For the first time in several years the meeting agreed to increase membership fees by about 9%. Levy rates were not increased, but the meeting accepted some rounding changes for convenience.
