Junior Sailing Courses
We are delighted to announce that Bray Sailing Club was awarded the title of "VOLVO IRISH SAILING TRAINING CENTRE OF THE YEAR" for 2018. This prestigious award is recognition of the great work and high quality training provided to adults, juniors, and people with disabilities in our club and is a great credit to our instructors and volunteers.
Come and join us in 2019 and see what makes Bray special!
Bray Sailing Club provides a busy programme of junior training activities for ten weeks each summer, running from mid June until the end of August. With an emphasis on lots of fun in a safe environment, we offer courses at all levels in Irish Sailing's Small Boat Sailing Scheme and over 150 junior sailors enjoy learning a new sport, improving their existing skills, and having great fun with their friends every summer.
As well as formal sailing courses, we also encourage our junior members to participate in our weekly Pico Club, which gives them an opportunity to sail every Sunday from May to September.
Please note that numbers on each course are strictly limited to ensure both safety and enjoyment - each year, we have to disappoint a number of children by turning down bookings because courses are full - so please book early!
Bray Sailing Club takes the safety of all of our members very seriously, especially our younger members. We have adopted a rigorous Child Safety Policy which governs the safety and protection of our younger members both on the water and ashore, and also contains clear guidelines as to how the Club and our leaders will communicate and interact with younger members. Our Child Safety Policy is available to view HERE.
