Application

To apply for membership, please complete the appropriate application form from the list below. You will also need to find two club members to support your application and get them to sign the form. Please submit the completed form and appropriate payment to the Membership Secretary. The completed application form will be displayed on the Club notice board for two weeks, the main committee then formally approves the membership at its next monthly meeting.

Membership Classes

Ordinary membership covers voting, sailing and social rights for one adult. A Family Membership includes voting rights for two adult members, and social and sailing rights for parents and all dependent children. Cadets are individual junior sailors between 12 and 25 (if in full time education). Clubhouse members may participate socially, but may not vote and may not sail regularly. Overseas members have the same rights as Clubhouse members when in the country.

Fees

There are five classes of membership with different rates. The club operates a modest levy to finance capital projects. Where applicable, this levy is included in the fees listed below.

In the first year no levy is charged.

Ongoing sail training for adult members is provided by qualified instructors throughout the season through our weekly on the water SkillBuild sessions.  These SkillBuild sessions assist sailors to become competent and confident to helm a small sailboat.   This training is currently provided by the club free of charge to members.  The Club has a fleet of small sailboats that are made available free of charge to sailors while they progress through this skill-building stage.

After this skill-building stage, a member may secure a crewing slot with another member or may choose to buy a sailboat alone or in partnership with other members.  Sailboat storage is free, but subject to permission being granted, for all membership types except Clubhouse and Overseas .

If you are interested in joining, please contact us.
